From accounting to human resources: Dawn T. House celebrates nearly 20 years of professional success
TUSCALOOSA, AL, May 25, 2010 /Software PR News/ -- Dawn T. House, Director, Human Resources at Planit Solutions, Inc., has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in industrial organization.
After dedicating 12 years of her professional life to accounting, Dawn T. House decided that she had had enough of staring at numbers all day and wanted to work in an atmosphere that dealt primarily with people. Utilizing her strength in assets management and satisfying her desire to help others, Ms. House decided to enter the field of human resources. She now celebrates almost a decade as an HR specialist, recognized as an expert in talent management, compensation and management. As director of the HR department at Planit Solutions, a software solutions company, Ms. House manages all staffing and employment processes. She supervises administrative staff, manages domestic and international acquisitions, divestitures and reorganizations, and oversees business strategy architecture. In her position she is considered to be a cultural steward for the organization, driven by the philosophy that the HR professional's primary responsibility is to build relationships through compassion and empathy and to serve as a liaison between human assets and business strategies. When she met with Cambridge Publishing, she asserted that she will continue to strive toward this goal as she moves forward in her career.
Ms. House is proud to note that she is a positive result of furthered adult learning. She credits her success to her mentors who helped her to develop both personally and professionally. An affiliate of the Tuscaloosa Human Resource Professionals, National Association of Professional Women and Society for Human Resource Management, Ms. House holds a bachelor of science in business management.
