A virtual desktop that requires no servers and priced like a phone app, the MeghaWare CloudTop offers the broadest integration of public cloud services with private cloud storage and communication - to dramatically boost user productivity and reduce computing costs. With single sign-on, cloud identity management and a familiar Windows-like user interface, it offers a "best-of-breed" hybrid cloud solution for consumers and businesses - enabling gradual adoption of cloud computing from public social networking (Facebook, Twitter, etc.), digital content (Facebook, Flickr YHOO, Picasa GOOG, etc.), entertainment (Netflix NFLX, YouTube GOOG, etc.), storage (Amazon S3 AMZN, AT&T Synaptic ATT, Google Storage GOOG, Microsoft Azure MSFT, Rackspace CloudFiles RAX) clouds to using private (OpenStack) clouds.
MeghaWare CloudTop installs on most devices (PC or Smartphone) and offers twenty Cloud Apps - divided into five categories. Manage Apps let you add cloud storage with offline caching to enable true universal data access. By moving or backing up data into the clouds, you no longer have to constantly worry about device management or data loss. Content is fully encrypted in the clouds and cached on the device for working offline, speeding up access while reducing cloud access charges. Synchronize Apps automatically keep files and notes current across all devices and clouds -- freeing you from device lock-in/loss. Also included is support for synchronization of Windows Outlook and Google App contacts and appointments. From any device View Apps can be used for cloud file search and tagging - offering you a single view of all documents, music, pictures and videos stored across multiple cloud accounts and device-attached storage. Information can be modified using device-installed (Windows Office, Libre Office, etc.) or web-based apps (Google Docs, etc.). Using encrypted cloud storage space and communications, Connect Apps give you the option to share sensitive information with invitees - email, messaging, posts and feeds - without third party control/servers involved. Cloud Apps let you invite your clients, co-workers, family, friends to join private cloud spaces for sharing private information, with the option to seamlessly integrate with popular public work, play and social networks e.g. Facebook and Twitter - invitations include a link to a free Invitee App.
The CloudTop also comes with an integrated CloudEngine that can be configured to serve as a standalone cloud cache to other CloudTop devices in order to speed up cloud access - auto-discovery and provisioning eliminates the need for administrators. In addition, the CloudTop supports the OpenStack cloud -- allowing users to deploy a private cloud with a public cloud mirroring option to provide disaster tolerance in case of network or public cloud unavailability i.e. offer businesses uninterrupted/high speed service.
